Read Finnish newspapers by translating them with AI

Are you studying Finnish? Do you want to stay abreast of local news? With the ePress newspaper service, you can translate any Finnish article into more than 40 languages.

First, open the newspaper of your choice and switch to text view (Tekstinäkymä) using the button at the bottom of the screen.

Activate text view from the yellow button on the bottom of your screen.

You can also open text view by selecting the highlighted headline in the digital edition.

Click the title of an article to activate text view.

Once in text view, the translation feature is located below the article headline, next to the audio playback button. Select the language of your choice, and the service will display the translation of the article.

Translation tool is right under the title. Choose the language from more than forty alternatives.

The translation tool uses artificial intelligence. If possible, check the accuracy of the translation.

ePress is an online newspaper and magazine service where you can read Finnish newspapers and magazines. You can read newspapers in a web browser on the Eduroam network without a login. Magazines are also available remotely, but their articles cannot be listened to or translated at this time.
