That is why the library has acquired more Finnish easy read books. These books help with learning Finnish.<\/p>\n<p>Easy read books (<strong>selkokirjat<\/strong> in Finnish) are written in plain language. Plain language is simple language. It uses familiar words, short sentences and clear text. Plain language is used, for example, in books, on websites and in the news.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the easy read books are adapted versions. This means that a standard book has been adapted into plain language. They are mainly non-fiction titles. You can borrow them and order them to another campus.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to read fiction in plain language, you can visit your local public library. They have plenty of novels and other works of fiction in plain language. The print edition is published eight times a year. You can read it at any of HAMK campus libraries.
