Is your job situation currently open and are you thinking about what would you do in the springtime? The application for our short courses in the Work on a farm -project is open at Studyinfo. There are seasonal jobs require helping hands on Finnish farms. Could it be you who could help farmers at their work?

\nIn the Work on a farm -project we offer short courses, where you can learn about agriculture in Finland. There are courses where you learn to take care of farm animals, field crops in Finland and how to use farm machines and equipment. There is also an online training, which everyone can complete independently. Application for the next implementations can be found at Studyinfo.<\/a> The application is open until the student places are full.<\/p>\n

If you will be selected to study after your application, guidance and support are available to every student individually. The training package consists of four different short courses. You can choose studies which you want to participate. Minimum is one course and maximum amount is all these courses. The trainings are kept in plain Finnish language or in English. One course takes about five days, and the place is Mustiala campus in Tammela. More info about the training and schedules from this link.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

After the courses, you can get to work on a Finnish farm, for your internship. After the training, you have the opportunity to get a job from Finnish farms. Studies are a great option for immigrants, those who are currently working part-time or who don\u2019t have a professional qualification in Finland yet.<\/p>\n

In the farm working skill inquiry for farm companies, it was revealed that farms need help in a variety of different work tasks. In the questionnaire, farm owners rank taking care of farm animals, plant production, and machine work skills as the most important thing in daily working life on the farms.
\n”Working on the farm is often a multi-talented job, the best way to learn new things is by doing”, answered one farmer. As a student you can do the assisting jobs and maybe more demanding jobs independently. If you have a good attitude to learn new things, don\u2019t hesitate to apply for our training. Let\u2019s find out together whether you have technical skills for machines or for example the abilities to work with farm animals.<\/p>\n

The training has been funded by the Service Centre for Continuous Learning and Employment. The Service Centre promotes the competence development of working-age people and the availability of skilled labor.
