There are certain occasions that deeply change the way we look at and interact with the world. It was like this in 2016, when, for three months, we were at HAMK, being a part of 9 months Finnish-Brazilian teacher education, The VET Teachers for the Future -programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At that time, we were not sure what to expect. To our surprise, the initial tension and anxiety soon became the most profound, touching and meaningful learning experiences. The experience was memorable for both technical and social learning. Proof of this is that, even today, it is impossible not to be moved by the memory of the affection, dedication, kindness, disposition, companionship and solidarity with which we were treated.<\/p>\n

We will never know how to thank you properly for the touching zeal and vision of our dear experts, Seija Mahlam\u00e4ki-Kultanen<\/strong>, Maaret Viskari<\/strong>, Essi Ryymin<\/strong>, Irma Kunnari<\/strong>, Marja Laurikainen<\/strong>, Sanna Ruhalahti<\/strong>, Simo Uusinoka,<\/strong> Jouni Enqvist,<\/strong> Vesa Parkkonen<\/strong> and so many other professionals who received us and gave their guidance to us during the period we were there. Even with the multitude of positive factors, changes require leaving your comfort zone. In that scenario too, we had to face conflicts, contradictions, doubts and barriers. However, it was facing the difficulties and overcoming the challenges that united us and made us stronger.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After four years, it is possible to say that, today, we are experiencing a similar situation in intensity, but opposite in meaning. The Covid-19 pandemic put us, again, in an unusual state of expectation and tension, although this time it is something we would never want to experience. The present social crisis has had an impact on the school and presented us educators with new challenges. What do we do in the face of the alarming scenario of social isolation? How can we react to the uncertainties and anxieties arising from the rupture of our personal and professional plans?<\/p>\n

We have taken the opportunity to continue PBL (Problem Based Learning) work that we developed with our students; one of the fruits of our Finnish experiences. The exercise involves the discussion of themes, with the incorporation of the notions and experiences of the students themselves for the collective construction of guidelines for our actions. Following that, students identify, describe and analyze reality problems, establish coping strategies and then report the process.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The challenge is to make the complex situation a learning moment. However, our experience has shown that, in addition to content, interpersonal relationships are fundamental for learning to be meaningful and make a difference in what we are and do. Factors such as affection, kindness, otherness and solidarity in pedagogical actions can be the great differentials in this moment of social withdrawal. As our Finnish friends used to say, \u201cless is more\u201d sometimes. Even in the face of uncertainties about how to do it, it is an invitation to implement \u201cLearning by doing\u201d!<\/p>\n

H\u00e1 certas ocasi\u00f5es que mudam profundamente nosso modo de olhar e interagir com o mundo. Foi assim em 2016, quando, por tr\u00eas meses, estivemos na Hamk, fazendo parte do programa VET III: Professores para o Futuro<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00c0quela \u00e9poca n\u00e3o sab\u00edamos bem o que esperar. Para nossa surpresa, a tens\u00e3o e ansiedade iniciais logo se converteram nas mais profundas, tocantes e significativas experi\u00eancias de aprendizagem. A experi\u00eancia foi memor\u00e1vel tanto pelo aprendizado t\u00e9cnico quanto social. Prova disso \u00e9 que, mesmo hoje, \u00e9 imposs\u00edvel n\u00e3o se emocionar com a lembran\u00e7a do carinho, dedica\u00e7\u00e3o, gentileza, disposi\u00e7\u00e3o, companheirismo e solidariedade com que fomos tratados.<\/p>\n

Jamais saberemos agradecer devidamente pelo tocante zelo e olhar das nossas queridas Seija Mahlam\u00e4ki-Kultanen<\/strong>, Maaret Viskari<\/strong>, Essi Ryymin<\/strong>, Irma Kunnari<\/strong>, Marja Laurikainen<\/strong>, Sanna Ruhalahti<\/strong>, Simo Uusinoka,<\/strong> Jouni Enqvist,<\/strong> Vesa Parkkonen<\/strong> e tantos outros profissionais que nos receberam e se doaram a n\u00f3s no per\u00edodo que l\u00e1 estivemos. Mesmo com a infinidade de fatores positivos, mudan\u00e7as exigem a sa\u00edda da zona de conforto. Tamb\u00e9m naquele cen\u00e1rio tivemos que enfrentar conflitos, contradi\u00e7\u00f5es, d\u00favidas e barreiras. No entanto, foi o enfrentamento das dificuldades e a supera\u00e7\u00e3o dos desafios que nos uniu, e nos tornou mais fortes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Ap\u00f3s quatro anos, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel dizer que, hoje, vivemos situa\u00e7\u00e3o semelhante em intensidade, mas contr\u00e1ria em sentido. A pandemia do Covid-19 nos colocou, novamente, em estado inusitado de expectativa e tens\u00e3o, ainda que, dessa vez, seja algo que jamais desejar\u00edamos viver. A presente crise social impactou na escola, e apresentou a n\u00f3s, educadores, novos desafios. O que fazer diante do alarmante cen\u00e1rio de isolamento social? Como reagir \u00e0s incertezas e ang\u00fastias decorrentes da ruptura de nossos planejamentos pessoais e profissionais?<\/p>\n

Temos aproveitado para dar continuidade a um trabalho de PBL (Problem Based Learning<\/em>) que desenvolvemos com nossos estudantes, um dos frutos das nossas experi\u00eancias finlandesas. O exerc\u00edcio passa pela discuss\u00e3o de temas, com a incorpora\u00e7\u00e3o das no\u00e7\u00f5es e experi\u00eancias dos pr\u00f3prios alunos para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o coletiva das diretrizes para nossas a\u00e7\u00f5es. No momento seguinte os estudantes fazem identifica\u00e7\u00e3o, descri\u00e7\u00e3o e an\u00e1lise de problemas da realidade, estabelecem estrat\u00e9gias de enfrentamento e depois relatam o processo.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

O desafio \u00e9 fazer da complexa situa\u00e7\u00e3o um momento de aprendizado. Entretanto, nossa experi\u00eancia mostrou que, para al\u00e9m dos conte\u00fados, as rela\u00e7\u00f5es interpessoais s\u00e3o fundamentais para que os aprendizados sejam significativos e fa\u00e7am a diferen\u00e7a naquilo que somos e fazemos. Fatores como carinho, gentileza, alteridade e solidariedade nas a\u00e7\u00f5es pedag\u00f3gicas podem ser os grandes diferenciais nesse momento de afastamento social. Como diziam nossos amigos finlandeses, algumas vezes, \u201cless is more\u201d. Mesmo diante das incertezas sobre o como fazer, \u00e9 um convite ao \u201cLearning by doing\u201d!<\/p>\n
